So while staying at one of my fraternity brother's houses he invited me to have Easter with his family. He's half Armenian so I got really excited cause that meant we got to go to an Armenian church. And on top of that I figured my mother would be happy with me going to church. So Sunday morning I hoped on a train from Grand Central Station and trekked north on the Metro North to meet James Kaechele in Stratford, CT. James was the brother I was mentioning earlier and him and his mom picked me up from the train station and we went off to church! We went to the Armenian Church of the Holy Ascension which basically meant it was a traditional orthodox church, so it was just like I was used to. I probably shouldn't have stayed up so late the night before watching Kazaky though cause I was asleep almost the whole train ride up and most of the service. I felt very bad for being asleep most of the service. Unfortunately there wasn't much I could do so I tried my hardest to stay awake and partially failed. After service though we went back to James' mom's house and I had a few cups of tea which helped wake me up and I got back up to normal. I got to meet James' family who were all amazing people and got to eat tons of Armenian food! I felt like I was back home. With such warm hospitality I was very excited to have a friend like James in my life and his family. Thanks to them I had a phenomenal Easter.
