The Louisiana State Capitol was weird in that it is the only capitol without a dome. Their liberty bell was also not on the capitol grounds, but they also had it right next door in their armory park. The inside of the capitol was fairly small since we weren't allowed to enter the different portions as that was where the congress would work. We were allowed to go to the top of the building (floor 27) in order to see the surrounding area. It was gorgeous from up there. I didn't get to see Baton Rouge for very long, but it seemed like it would be fun for a day or two.
