Columbia was a super cute town and housed the capitol building for South Carolina. When I got there they were having Disability Advocacy day so the steps of the capitol were filled with shoes. It also took a quarter of an hour to get into the capitol, but that’s another story. Each pair of shoes represented 6 disabled people that were living in South Carolina. The capitol was filled with shoes! It was kind of cool to see. (Each shoe was later donated to an organization that gives shoes to disabled people who need them). It was super cool.
