Jefferson City is where Missouri's state capitol building is. Missouri had a fairly bland state capitol. The interior had been painted over and so the original artwork was pretty much lost. They were in the process of restoring it, but they ran out of money and so the ceiling has blue tape and unfinished artwork in many locations. The murals in the middle of the dome were actually purchased from an English artist which I thought was fascinating. They sent the dimensions of the building to the artist in England, he painted it on canvas and then shipped the canvas back to Missouri where they hung it up. Pretty nifty!
