California's Liberty Bell

Rounding off my capitol tours was California! California is my home state so I've definitely been to this capitol a few times, but it's always a hoot to visit it again. It's not the most glamorous capitol out there, but it's definitely not the worst, and it has a lot of thought put into it which makes it exciting. The fun part was that I had never before seen the liberty bell! I looked around and found it hidden behind some trees and bushes in the big rose garden. If you're ever in Sacramento I highly recommend visiting the capitol building.

Sacramento is also home to the newest colony for my fraternity! I met with the Sacramento State Colonists for dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen. It was fun seeing a colony in it's early stages to see how it develops and interacts. No one really knew what they were getting into, but they all knew they wanted to join a fraternity, and that's pretty cool. I think they'll end up being an amazing bunch.

I also got to see one of my oldest friends in the area, Dave West! Dave is a fraternity brother as well and he's always a fun person to be around. He let me crash at his pad and we talked about the good ole times and had a good laugh. It was super fun seeing him again. Next up is my home chapter!
